AdventNet Inc., the leading provider of
affordable Enterprise IT management IT security software, today announced
the immediate availability of ManageEngine Password Manager Pro 5.2. With
this release, AdventNet has enhanced Password Manager Pro (PMP) with the
support for automated administrative password management for Cisco and HP
devices enabling network administrators to change the passwords of remote
devices automatically from PMP. Already, PMP supports remote password
synchronization for servers, databases and other applications.
ManageEngine Password Manager Pro is a privileged password management
software which serves as a secure vault for storing, accessing and managing
shared administrative passwords. It enables IT managers to enforce standard
password management practices such as maintaining a central repository of
all passwords, usage of strong passwords, automatically changing the
sensitive passwords, controlling user access to shared passwords and keep
record of all access to passwords across the enterprise.
From the latest release 5.2, PMP is available in two editions — Standard
and Premium. While Standard Edition serves just as a secure password
repository, Premium Edition offers enterprise-class features such as
remote password synchronization, password alerts and notifications,
application-to-application password management, reports, high-availability
and others.
“The seemingly simple task of implementing periodic password resets and
keeping track of password changes across systems could actually be a
productivity drain for IT organizations and manual errors could lead to
significant business downtime. PMP automates this whole process by
supporting password management for a wide variety of prominent systems like
servers, workstations, directory servers, databases, switches, routers and
firewalls,” said G. Rajesh, Director of Product Management at AdventNet
Inc. “PMP 5.2 premium edition provides out-of-the-box support for Cisco and
HP devices, which further helps accomplish operational efficiency, security
and compliance goals of the IT organizations,” he added.
“Password Manager Pro is an excellent choice for password management. The
application is reliable, dependable, and the support is fantastic,” said
Don Garvey, Director of Operations, Claimant Management Systems, USA. “I
am confident in the security the application provides at a fraction of the
cost of alternatives,” he added.
